Introduction
The global shot peening community has its sights set on Japan as details begin to roll out for the 16th International Conference on Shot Peening (ICSP16). Organized by the Japan Society of Shot Peening Technology (JSSP) and chaired by Yoshihiro Watanabe of TOYO SEIKO CO., LTD., the conference is scheduled for September 11–14, 2028, at the Nagaragawa Convention Center in Gifu, Japan.
Conference Details
While many program details are still being finalized, the conference website is live and organizers have announced several key dates for prospective presenters and attendees.
Abstract submissions will be accepted through December 31, 2027, with acceptance notifications scheduled for March 31, 2028.
Extended abstracts will then be due by May 30, 2028.
Early registration will remain open until June 30, 2028.
The conference itself will take place from September 11–14, 2028.
